Trichoderma citrinoviride strain with antagonistic activity against plant pathogenic and growth-promoting fungi, compositions containing the same and use thereof

The present invention describes and claims a novel strain of the fungus Trichoderma citrinoviride NRRL-50452, capable of promoting growth and resistance to phytopathogens in plants of agronomic interest in a much superior way compared to commercial strains existing today. The use of this strain considerably reduces the use of fertilizers and chemical pesticides whose manufacture and use damage the environment and human health.
